12,500 metric tons of urea to the island.

The first ship carrying 12,500 metric tons of urea fertilizer arrived at Colombo port last night (26).
The stock of urea fertilizer required for this season has thus reached the island.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation stated that according to the first tender submitted for the purchase of urea fertilizer for the high season, this stock of urea fertilizer was imported as follows.
Meanwhile, in the last week of November, the second ship carrying one hundred and twenty thousand metric tons of urea fertilizer required for the high season is scheduled to arrive in the island.
It is also reported that the World Bank has provided a loan of 110 million dollars for the purchase of urea fertilizer required for the Central Bank this time.
