Najith Sumanasena, President of the Association of Health Entomology Officers, says that the density of mosquito larvae has decreased across the country.
He points out that last year, the bito index value rose to 20-25 in many parts of the island and now that value has dropped to 10-15.
However, Najith Sumanasena has also said that due to the immediate changes in the weather, the density of bito may rise again.
