It is reported that Gampola Acting Magistrate Mrs. Nandani Kantilatha ordered that the 19-year-old girlfriend who stabbed the 22-year-old lover who tried to avoid her love for many years be remanded until the 22nd.
A young woman residing in Gampola Ulapane area has been remanded.
She had been in a romantic relationship with a young man involved in fish business in Gampola town.
But after some time, she felt that the young man in question was abandoning her, even though she asked him about it, knowing that his decision would not change, she also made arrangements to publish the photos of the two of them on her Facebook page so that he could not maintain another relationship.
Infuriated by this, the young man told her to remove the photos from her face book and attacked her, and her mother and brother came to know about this and intervened in the incident.
Accordingly, the girl’s mother and brother came to the Gampola public market where this young man does business and asked about it, where the concerned young man attacked the girlfriend’s brother.
There the mother took the beaten son to the hospital and the young woman took a hidden knife and attacked the boyfriend.
The injured lover was admitted to the Gampola Teaching Hospital and the other people near the shop subdued the girl and later she was arrested by the police.
