Dr. Hemantha Herath, Deputy Director General of Health Services, said that experts will decide whether to give a booster dose to people who have received the Covid suppression cyanoform vaccine.
Accordingly, there have been suggestions from some quarters that people who have received sinopharm vaccine should be given a booster vaccine before the age of six months.
Dr. Rajeev de Silva, Media Spokesperson of the Sri Lanka Association of Specialist Physicians has stated that the effectiveness of the sinopharm vaccine will gradually decrease after three months.
