Due to the heavy rain that has affected the island for several days, there has been a flood situation in Jaffna city.
It is reported that shopkeepers as well as common people have been affected as several main roads including the Jaffna main bus stand have been flooded due to waterlogging.
Therefore, the daily activities of the people have also been affected.
Store owners have commented on the inundation of shops including roads in the city that due to the lack of proper drainage system in Jaffna city, floods occur even in light rains.
