A gazette notification has been issued to revise several scopes.
According to the gazette announcement, steps have been taken to remove the National Building Research Organization under the Ministry of Defense and the Company Register Department under the Ministry of Monetary, Economic Stabilization and National Policy from those ministries.
Moreover, it is stated that Lanka Phosphate Company Limited, which was under the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Center of Excellence for Robotic Technology, which was under the Ministry of Industry, have also been removed from those ministries.
Also, according to the relevant gazette announcement, it is reported that the Samajgam Register Department and Lanka Phosphate Company Limited have been placed under the Ministry of Industry.
At the same time, the Sri Lanka Telecommunication Regulatory Commission and its affiliated institutions as well as the Center of Excellence for Robotics have been placed under the Ministry of Technology, according to the Gazette announcement.
The gazette notification has been issued so that these amendments will be effective from today (27).
