To promote the tourism industry of Sitawaka, the “Sitawaka Odyssey” special tourist train started its maiden journey today (15.01.2023), which was implemented according to the concept of the Honorable Minister of Transport, Highways and Mass Media, Dr. Bandula Gunawardena.
This special train will run from Colombo Fort railway station to Waga railway station, stopping at attractive places till the destination.
Arrangements have now been made to provide travel services to the passengers coming from Colombo to Waga by the train, from there by a combined langama and private transport service. Accordingly, traveling on the “Sitawaka Odyssey” special train, you will have the opportunity to visit Ranmudu Falls, Kumari Falls, Goraka Falls, etc., as well as Tummodara Valpalama, Stone Bungalow, Kodigala mountain range, Sitawaka Botanical Garden, Labugama and Kalatuwawa reservoirs, which are not far from Colombo.
