It is reported that the killer who killed the security officer of Sylvester School in the playground of the school yesterday has been arrested in Samanala Lake area of Balangoda.
It has been revealed in the current investigations that the reason for this murder was a love affair. Annilage Upul Sampath, a resident of Ilukowita Tunmodara, had died. It is reported that the killer is also a security officer of the same school.
According to the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of Kandy Division Mr. Chamal Krishantha Ratnayake, the killer has been arrested by the Special Crime Investigation Division of Kandy Division.
Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
