Some tear gas is 22 years out of date – a shocking research report has come out
Mr. Tharindu Jayawardena, President of the Association of Young Journalists, says that through his research, he was able to uncover the facts that the police have used chemical weapons to disperse public protests.
He has revealed these facts in a special discussion with an internet channel and this report has been prepared based on the events related to the dispersal of public protests by the police from 2012 to 2022.
And another important fact that has been revealed here is that most of the public protests that have been attacked and dispersed by the police are peaceful protests.
In this interview, Mr. Jayawardena points out that his research also revealed that some of the tear gas used by the police to suppress public protests are more than 22 years old.
