It is reported that the flight attendants have decided to engage in a “work to the letter” industrial action today from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm.
Due to this action, there was a delay in the flights departing from and arriving from Sri Lanka, but this professional action will not affect the flights with urgent needs, Mr. Thisara Amarananda, the president of the Sri Lanka Airline Pilots Association, has stated.
So far no response to the proposal to prevent the pilots from leaving the country, the government ordered to pay 40% of the fees charged by the aircraft flying over Sri Lanka to the treasury, the financial loss of the airport and the airline company limited is minimal. It is reported that they are engaging in professional action based on many demands.
