According to reports, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, while answering a question raised by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa in Parliament today (24), stated that he is looking forward to discussing the Local Government Election with the Election Commission.
Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the ombudsman, announced that the 10 billion rupees allocated for the election should be given to the Election Commission and arrangements should be made to hold the election.
“Before the start of the parliamentary session, the officials of the printing press were asked why the ballot papers were not printed.
That guy says. We are ready to print and asked to give the money.”
The Prime Minister who gave the answer,
“I am discussing the issues in the court, no. It is an endless statement and I hope to call them as the minister. I don’t know if all the members of the commission will come, but I hope to discuss them very soon in the coming days.”
