It is reported that a bus has been involved in an accident in the early hours of today (14) near Jubilee Bullas Junction, Duplication Road, Bambalapitiya Police Domain.
The police announced that a private bus traveling from Colombo to Kataragama collided with a lorry coming from Tummulla and overturned on the road.
There were about 15 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident, and two women and five men who were injured have been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment.
The current investigations have revealed that the accident occurred due to the bus running without traffic lights.
Bambalapitiya Police is conducting further investigations in this regard.
