It is reported that a student who was on a bus carrying a group of Sunday School students who went on an educational trip, died in an accident when he stuck his head out of the window.
The police have stated that the accident took place yesterday evening (20th) on a side road leading to Rumassala mountain in Habaraduwa police domain.
The student who was traveling in the back seat of the bus hit an electric pole while putting his head out of the window. The injured student was rushed to Karapitiya Hospital and died.
A 16-year-old school student residing in Kuliapitiya area of Udubaddawa has lost his life.
Habaraduwa Police are conducting further investigations regarding the accident.
