A grant from the US government.

A stock of dry food has been granted to this country by the American government.
This grant has been made with the aim of increasing the level of nutrition in school children in Sri Lanka.
At the “Spectro” warehouse complex located in Wattala Muthurajavel, today (26) this stock of dry food was officially presented by the American Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mrs. Julie Chang to the Minister of Education, Mr. Acharya Susil Premajayantha.
Under this grant, the country has received 890 metric tons of pink salmon and 2,000 metric tons of lentils.
The main purpose of this midday meal program is to encourage school attendance, increase learning focus, and maintain balanced nutritional levels of food.
