The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau has launched a new program to generate $ 200 million in revenue for next year.
The Ministry stated that this was discussed at length at the progress review meeting held yesterday (19) under the chairmanship of the Minister of Environment Mahinda Amaraweera.
Accordingly, in addition to issuing licenses for granite, sand, soil and gravel, the objective of the new program is to make the most of the valuable mineral resources in the country.
