Sri Lanka Air Force is an important army in Sri Lanka. But its administration is based on a series of laws designed to contradict the Constitution as well as the Air Force Act. The Air Force itself has made rules to do what it wants. Apart from that, from the Air Force Commander, most of the members of the Board of Directors, to the commanding officers, more than half of the officers are working under the law. It means that they are ignorant and they do not respect the law of the state.
A large number of airmen have been illegally withdrawn under the current Air Force Chief. The previous military commanders have also been removed in the same way. So now we have a large amount of information and documents that have been removed. A few of them have complained to the Human Rights Commission and a few others have filed cases in the courts. Also, the behavior of some officers is so trivial that due to their fault the airmen are doing their duty under severe stress. Even fundamental rights cases have been filed against one such officer and he is taking oath as a lawyer while the case is pending.
Due to the many administrative activities of the Air Force with such control or acting against the law, if the control of the Sri Lanka Air Force happens as another illegal organization, it means that the Sri Lanka Air Force is also operating as a state terrorist group. It seems that they are also responsible for the current economic crisis. The country lost billions of dollars of Sri Lankan people’s money in the MiG deal, C-130 deals. The Air Force is even carrying out the activities of Procurrement Guide Line, No. 49 of 2006, which became active with the beginning of the Mahinda Rajapaksa era. Fraud, corruption and irregularities are happening from the directorates of the Sri Lanka Air Force from that time until now due to violation of its clauses. This causes the country’s public to lose millions of dollars every month.
The unscrupulous lawless or state terrorism soldiers of the Sri Lanka Air Force have attacked three journalists of the soldiers with sticks. Rasika Gunawardena Shabir Mohammad and Chaturanga Pradeep Kumar have been attacked. There, the journalist hit the fan on the head with a club. Meanwhile, journalist Chaturanga Pradeep Kumara has been kidnapped. Media duty is a job similar to military personnel. The power of official dress is not the personal power of military officers or soldiers without the power of the people.
A special gazette has been issued last night to maintain public safety. It is to maintain public order. But that’s not for hitting. The government’s plan was only to rescue the Presidential Secretariat. Without that, journalists and other citizens will not be attacked in Kollupitiya or on the highway. Also, the groups that were engaged in the struggle had decided to leave from today (22). Despite this, the security forces cannot approve this process. But although the seizure of the President’s Secretariat was something that should have been done, the other actions are illegal actions that cannot be approved.
According to reports, Sri Lankan security forces have not allowed even ambulances to enter. It is also reported that foreign embassies have intervened for that. When the country is becoming peaceful, it is the Sri Lankans who are becoming more and more helpless by the security forces behaving like terrorists. Then they have to go to the international community to demand their justice.
So if the Air Force or other security forces do not understand what to do and what not to do, they and their own children will suffer in the future. Today’s attack on the fighters who wanted to leave, however the ongoing crisis, even the children of Sri Lanka’s security forces may not be able to go to foreign countries and this is worse than the previous attacks because foreign countries have watched this incident live.
So we see this as something done by the security against the arrival of the new president. As a brutal attack by the security forces against the new government to be formed today. We see this as the ghosts of Gotabaya, who fled the country, and his henchmen, the security forces, are still operating as they wish.
