The Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors Association states that the law will be enforced against the organizers of religious programs that unnecessarily mobilize the public.
The President of the Public Health Inspectors’ Association Upul Rohana stated that it was reported that a large number of people had participated in a ceremony held at a temple in the Talawakele area yesterday (10).
Speaking further Mr. Upul Rohana stated that no legal permission has been obtained for this pooja and that similar events have been organized in this area before and cases have been filed for the same.
The President of the Association Upul Rohana has requested the religious leaders, politicians and social activists not to organize such gatherings.
