An explosion has taken place at a restaurant in the Kapparathota area in Weligama this morning (04).
Police stated that two employees were injured in the blast and were admitted to hospital.
Investigations into the explosion have revealed that the accident had taken place due to the explosion of a gas tank in the restaurant.
Further investigations are being carried out into the incident.
