Specialist Dr. Malkanthi Galhena says that there is a clear increase in the number of patients being registered and receiving treatment through home treatment compared to the past two weeks.
She said about 4,000 patients were currently receiving treatment and that number had risen to 3,000 in the past two weeks.
In the past 24 hours, about 500 new patients have been registered under the home treatment system.
