A gas cylinder has exploded at a restaurant on Kumaratunga Mawatha in Polhengoda.
The blast took place this afternoon (07) and is the latest incident to be reported due to a gas leak.
No one was injured in the blast and the restaurant was reportedly damaged.
The Kirulapone Police are conducting investigations into the incident.
