Former Sri Lankan cricket captain Mahela Jayawardena has resigned as the head coach of Mumbai Indians.
It was because he got a new position.
Accordingly, he has been appointed as the “Global Head of Performance” of the Mumbai Indians team by the Mumbai Indians owners.
According to the post, he has been entrusted with the responsibilities related to the training and selection of new players for all the three teams owned by Mumbai Indians.
