Asian Development Bank continues to support Sri Lanka.

The head of the Asian Development Bank has stated that further financial assistance will be provided to Sri Lanka.
This was stated today (27) by its chairman Mr. Masatsugu Asakawa while addressing the annual conference of the Asian Development Bank.
A report released in this regard indicates that Sri Lanka is currently facing the worst economic crisis it has faced in 70 years.
Recently, a loan of 200 million dollars was given to Sri Lanka by the Asian Development Bank to provide essential food items and preserve the standard of living.
The Chairman of the Asian Development Bank further stated that Sri Lanka is its long-term partner and will consider joining other relief packages for Sri Lanka after the IMF program is completed.
