Dr. Hemantha Herath states that with the removal of the travel restrictions, there has been a resurgence of some cases of Kovid infections.
He points out that health guidelines should be followed with special care in the use of public transport as well as in public places and other activities.
He also said that arrangements have been made to conduct antigen tests at selected locations as well as for those visiting hospitals.
The doctor also urges people to stay away from such activities as the country could be in danger again due to activities such as rallies and gatherings.
