The 2023 Twenty20 Women’s World Cup cricket tournament is to be held in South Africa, where the Sri Lankan women’s cricket team has managed to win by 2 points in the first training match held today (6) between the Sri Lankan women’s cricket team and the Irish team.

The Sri Lanka women’s team scored 149 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 5 wickets, while the Irish team, who were chasing the target of 150 runs for victory, managed to score only 147 runs in 5 balls in 19 overs.

For the Sri Lanka team, Harshita Samarawickrama scored 56 points, Chamari Athapattu scored 27 points and Vishmi Gunaratne scored 36 points and Laura Delaney took 3 wickets for 20 points for Ireland.

For the Irish team, Earlene Kelly scored 30 points, Gabi Lewis scored 38 points and Leura Delaney scored 21 points. For Sri Lanka, Oshadhi Ranasinghe scored 3 wickets for 22 points and Inoka Ranaweera took 3 wickets for 26 points.
