Cyclone Sola, which is blowing at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour, has hit China’s Guangdong province, and foreign media have reported that it has caused strong winds and floods in Shenzhen, Macau and Hong Kong.
Trains and flights in Hong Kong have been canceled and the start of schools in the new year has been postponed due to the typhoon threat.
Cyclone Sola is said to be the strongest cyclone to hit southern China since 1949.
Also, the foreign media has further mentioned that the Haikui typhoon, which is blowing at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour, is going to hit the Zhejiang province of China by tomorrow (03).
