20 CRORE WORTH OF GOLD SMUGGLED FROM MANNAR TO CUSTOMS CUSTODY.

A kg of gold biscuits worth around 20 crore rupees was transported by boat from Mannar through the sea route. 14.8. It is reported that two people were arrested by the customs officers of Ramanathanpuram, India on the Kalimankundu beach near Geesalkarai, Ramanathanpuram on the last 31st.

The mechanic of the fishing boat that transported the gold biscuits from Mannar to India has also been arrested. Among the other two arrested, one is a resident of Mannar and the other is a resident of Tamil Nadu.

The Indian media has reported that a motorcycle suspected to be carrying the gold biscuits after reaching the shore came to the shore and ran away after realizing that the gold biscuits in the boat had been arrested.

The two arrested suspects and the boat mechanic are scheduled to be produced before the Ramanathanpuram court.
