It is reported that 2500 graduates have been appointed for teaching vacancies in the Western Province.
Provincial Education Ministry Secretary Sirisoma Lokuwithana stated that the group will be recruited based on the results of the teacher examination held last October.
Appointment letters will be awarded for that today.
The secretary said that teachers are being recruited here to teach primary, arts, commerce, science and mathematics subjects as well as general subjects.
It is said that despite the release of the exam results, the recruitment was delayed due to the filing of a case in this regard.
The secretary stated that there are still more than 2000 teacher vacancies in the Western Province.
