During this year, 03 dengue deaths have been reported.
The National Dengue Control Unit said that these deaths were reported in the first 20 days of this year.
During this year, 7,507 dengue cases have been reported across the island.
The highest number of patients have been reported from Jaffna district and the number is 1,602.
1,536 cases have been reported from Colombo district and 637 cases have been reported from Gampaha district.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Dr. Ramesh Pathirana has stated that the support received from the people is not enough to control the spread of dengue.
