38 doctors of Hambantota Hospital are leaving the hospital.

It is reported that there is a shortage of medicines in the Hambantota General Hospital and because of that the doctors and patients of the hospital are also in trouble.

Doctors say that there is a shortage of more than 120 medicines and the hospital does not have medicines such as insulin to prevent excessive bleeding during childbirth and diabetes patients.

Due to this problem, 38 doctors have left the hospital and another group of doctors are said to be looking to go abroad. They also claim that although 35 doctors are required for the sick departments, there are currently only 30 doctors.
