According to a former official of Dalada Palace, gold worth 50 crores and land worth nine crores were sold and given to Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa.
He also claims that it was he who tied the bundles to take the money to Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse and that it was also taken by the Diyawadana Nilame.
He has expressed these comments with a group that came to a house-to-house campaign related to this year’s local government elections, and they have recorded them and released them on social networks.

His name is Nihal Fernandes, who is a clerk at Dalada Maligave and it is reported that he had previously complained to the Financial Crimes Unit regarding the fraud and corruption of the Diyawadana Nilamewaya.
The complaint was also submitted to the court by the Financial Crimes Unit, but with the revelation of fraud and corruption recently, it is reported that the Sri Lanka Police Department has taken steps to withdraw the case from the Kandy Magistrate’s Court.
