So far 7 people have died in the accident of the bus carrying children who were on an educational trip at Thurston College, Colombo.
The accident occurred when the bus carrying children collided with a van in Nanu Oya Radella Bawum area.
7 people who came in the van died in this accident. 51 people were injured and admitted to Nuwara Eliya Hospital.
It is suspected that the reason for this could be the failure of the bus’s brakes and the speeding bus collided with the van and was thrown, then collided with a three-wheeler that came behind and overturned on a cliff about 200 meters away.
