Foreign media have reported that 8 people have lost their lives and four others have been injured due to the collision between a freight train and a cab in the eastern part of Thailand.
It is said that the condition of one of the injured is serious.
As the cab approaches the level crossing, the train driver sounds the warning horn, but the cab is unable to stop.
It is said that 5 men and 3 women died in the accident.
A 20-year-old man who survived the accident has said that they thought that the vehicle could pass through the crossing, but then saw the train a few meters away.
