It is reported that the Colombo High Court has scheduled a hearing on the 11th of August in a case filed by the Bribery Commission against Mr. Sarana Gunawardena, alleging that he caused loss to the government by misusing three vehicles obtained on a rental basis while serving as the chairman of the National Lottery Board in 2006. .
When this case was called before Colombo High Court Judge Manjula Thilakaratne today, the lawyer representing the Bribery Commission informed the court to start the trial from the 13th witness in the case and to set a date for the trial.
Accordingly, the High Court Judge has ordered to issue a summons to the relevant witness and summon him for the hearing on August 11.
