The talented 12-year-old athlete who was going to compete in the under-14 80m, 100m and 100x 4 at the ISAC Inter-School Games held on February 25/26, was killed due to an argument between her father and mother and the principal. A ban on school and sports competitions has also been imposed.
Due to this ban, the girl is suffering from mental retardation due to not being able to participate in the matches for which she had been training and competing so far.
On 21/02/2023, this girl, who came to school after participating in ISAC sports competition training as usual, was verbally harassed and insulted and the girl’s mother has complained to the Kiribathgoda Police in this regard. A complaint has also been submitted to the National Child Protection Authority. .
The headmistress of this school is disrespectful to the children as well as the parents.
