It is reported that a doctor who worked in the X-ray department of the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital was found dead mysteriously at his home by the police.
A 37-year-old man named Prabhat Chamara Sampath, a resident of Talagahahena Pathumanga, Galle, died in this manner.
The wife of the concerned doctor is also a doctor working at Karapitiya Hospital.
It is said that the doctor was not at home when the incident took place, and the body of the deceased doctor has been sent to the Karapitiya Forensic Medicine Unit for post-mortem examination.
Galle Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating the incident.
