It is reported that the Boralasgamuwa Police has arrested a driver of a former veteran cricketer who assaulted a sub-inspector in a bus.
A sub-inspector attached to the Special Police Investigation Unit of the National Child Protection Authority has been assaulted.
This sub-inspector, who was traveling in a bus from Nebada to Colombo, was assaulted after an exchange of words with a person regarding a travel bag.
The Boralasgamuwa Police are conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
