It is reported that a lorry driver who ran away after causing a car accident in Aluthwewa Katehandiya area of Aralagangwila has been arrested.
According to the information that a person has fallen on the road, the police have started investigating the incident.
It is said that the person died on the spot due to serious head injuries.
The deceased is a 39-year-old resident of Aluthwewa area.
It is said that a person who was buying paddy in that area ran away after the accident and when checking his lorry, it is said that the dead person’s hair and clothes parts were found on it.
