Foreign media reports that six members of a Sri Lankan family were attacked with a sharp weapon in South Ottawa, Canada.
The police said that the father of the family was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
Foreign media have mentioned that a young man from Sri Lanka who is suspected of having carried out the shooting has also been arrested.
It is said that the mother of the family and four small children and a relative of the family have been killed in this way.
