It is reported that more than 20 acres have been destroyed by a fire in Balumgala Forestry Reserve, Welimada.
It is suspected that the fire that broke out yesterday (19) afternoon spread faster with the prevailing dry weather and there is a doubt whether this fire was started by anyone.
It is said that Cappetipola Police, Special Task Force, Divisional Secretariat officials and local residents are working together to put out the fire.
