An accident has occurred when a mound of earth collapsed on a house in the Wennoruwa area in Narammala, Alawwa Police Division.
The mother, daughter and son were inside the house at the time of the accident and the injured daughter succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
The girl who died in the accident was a 23 year old girl working as a nurse at a private hospital in Colombo.
The mother and brother were not injured and the Alawwa Police are conducting further investigations.
