It is reported that the ceremony to start the construction work of another phase of the housing project implemented under the financial allocation of the Government of India for the construction of 10,000 houses for the working people of the plantations was held at the Presidential Secretariat.
Under this fourth phase, 1300 houses are to be built in 45 estates in 10 districts.
Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha has also joined President Ranil Wickremesinghe on this occasion through the online method.
