It is reported that a grenade was found in a building in Dehiwala area this morning (06).
It is said that this hand grenade was found on the 5th floor of the building consisting of 11 floors which is half built and abandoned at the address No. 124, Anagarika Dharmapala Mawatha, Dehiwala, Dehiwala Police Domain.
Dehiwala police station has been informed by its security officer that there is something like a hand grenade packed in a blue polythene bag and according to that, after an investigation by the police, it has been revealed that it is a hand grenade.
Later, after Dehiwala Police Station informed the bomb disposal unit, the bomb disposal unit of the Police Special Task Force took away the hand grenade.
