It is reported that Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera, the Minister of Power and Energy, said that a group of Sinopec officials came to the island to enter into agreements for the sale of retail fuel in Sri Lanka and to start operations.
It is said that there was a special discussion between the group and the minister in which the schedules related to the agreement, the conditions of the agreement and other related issues were discussed.
Also, the minister has further mentioned that the relevant agreement is to be signed in May and it has been agreed to start operations within 45 days.
