A meeting of party leaders this afternoon

A special party leader meeting is scheduled to be held today (11) afternoon.
The Parliamentary Communications Division states that the relevant party leaders’ meeting will be held today at 02.00 pm under the chairmanship of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
It is reported that the appointment of a new president as well as the formation of a new government and the future steps to be taken regarding the current political situation of the country will be discussed.
