According to information received by the Maradankadawala police, during an investigation, a decomposed body of a person who died mysteriously was found in a house in the Maradankadawala area.
It is said that the deceased has been living alone in this house for several days and he is an unmarried person. A 65-year-old resident of Kandy Road, Maradankadala, Mr. Sinnadore Yogarasa, has lost his life.
It is said that further investigations are being conducted regarding whether this death was a murder, suicide or a natural death.
The on-site magisterial inquiry into the death was conducted by the Acting Magistrate Kekirawa and it is reported that the body has been forwarded to the Forensic Medical Officer of the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital for post-mortem examination as per his order.
