It is reported that the Minister of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development Mr. Jeevan Thondaman said while attending the news conference held at the Presidential Media Center that discussions are being held on the formulation of a formula for water charges.
The final draft of the proposed water tariff formula is expected to be prepared and finalized in December, which will provide water supply to charitable institutions, hospitals and schools at fair prices, and how the water tariff formula will affect commercial establishments, Minister of State for Investment Promotion Dilum Amunugama and Finance Minister Jeevan Thondaman further mentioned that he has planned to meet and discuss with Minister of State Shehan Semasinghe.
