At the cost of 56 million rupees, the Department of Wildlife has taken steps to construct a separate resting place in the Yala Park to rest while visiting the forest areas.
Efforts have been made to construct this resting place for local and foreign tourists to rest without harming wild animals and plants. Programs to educate tourists about Sri Lanka’s wildlife and flora are to be started there.
Also, currently a strip of land near the sea of the park is being prepared for tourists to rest and about 400 vehicles of local and foreign tourists come to this park every day.
It is reported that this leisure complex will be built in Pattanangala block B section of Yala forest and facilities for parking about 200 vehicles have been provided there.
