Mr. Chamuditha Samarawickrama recently revealed information about a former police officer who committed a financial fraud of 25 crores to the farmers in the rock-broken lake area of Anuradhapura district.
Mr. Chamuditha Samarawickrama had brought several people who had faced this problem for a social media discussion, in which Mr. Anuradha Tennakoon, President of the National Agrarian Union, made a special revelation about this.
In it he pointed out that the person was a retired police officer and he started this HSB Finance Company as a goods mortgage company.
The owner of this company is Indika Premakumara who is a former police officer and a resident of the same area.
However, they state that this financial fraud has been done to around 125 people through this company and it has now been revealed that the concerned company has misled the people by preparing false documents that it is registered with the Central Bank.
Also, according to sources, the person who committed the related financial fraud is also planning to leave the country.
The relevant authorities should pay attention to this and take steps to do some justice to the people who have been subjected to this injustice.
