Yesterday (2) a news was reported that a dead body of a millionaire businessman who had mysteriously died in the swimming pool of a three-storey house in Battaramulla area was reported. The deceased millionaire businessman is a 50-year-old man and his name is Roshan Vanninayake. It is reported that he is the owner of a popular chain of ready-made clothing stores in Colombo. It is reported that the deceased was residing in a house in Kittampahuwa area of Wellampitiya.
Investigations have revealed that on January 30, he got into his car and left the house where he was staying at around 5 pm. The deceased’s mother called the deceased at around 7 pm to prepare dinner, but he did not respond.

But it is reported that the deceased made a phone call to his grandmother at around 7.29 pm, but after that his phone was switched off and the deceased was reported missing to the Wellampitiya police.
It is reported that the businessman was floating in the swimming pool of the three-storied house and complained to the police about the incident.
The preliminary investigations carried out regarding this incident revealed that the deceased was residing in a house in Kittampahuwa area of Wellampitiya and was repairing that house. Also, because some blood stains were found near the swimming pool, this incident is suspected to be a murder.
The police suspect that the deceased may have been hit on the head and then dragged into the swimming pool.
Further investigation into this incident has revealed that 4 credit cards in the wallet of the deceased are missing and 5 air tickets were booked to go to Indonesia using those cards. Also, goods worth about 5 lakh rupees were bought from the shopping complex of Katunayake airport and it is suspected that a woman was involved in this murder. The police suspect that the woman may have committed the murder with the help of another person while the deceased was staying at the house.
It is also reported that there are no CCTV cameras in the house where the alleged murder took place.
It is also said that the car of this millionaire businessman was found in a house in Migomuwa area. It is reported that the couple who brought the car has gone abroad.
