The Homagama Headquarter Police said yesterday (18) that Homagama Coroner Magistrate Mr. Chinthaka Udaya Kumara took steps to control the heated situation caused by two women coming forward to accept the body of a deceased person and to give a decision in such a way that both women can pay their last respects.
Accordingly, the coroner had ordered that Homagama should be kept in a private mausoleum for two hours and pay the last respects to the adulterous wife.
The deceased is a father of three residing in Homagama area.
This person got married to a woman from Meegahakivula area in 2006 and while he was working from time to time going to various places across the country and making a living by selling rambutan, he had a casual relationship with a woman there for about 15 years when he came to Homagama to sell rambutan. It is said that the married woman left her husband and lives with her three children.
